Stingers in Australia getting aluminum hoods?

i was reading post on Facebook related to yellow paint chipping warranty horror story where claim was made that Austrailian cars get aluminum hood. Is this true? Poster said magnet didn’t stick to his hood and Kia indicated cars paint issues related to aluminum hood paint prep?

Can anyone confirm hood in Australia are aluminum? If they are I’d like to figure out how to get one to US.

I'm in Australia and have a Dec 17 built SWP GT and magnets stick to my bonnet.
