I noticed my Stoptech Performance Street Ceramic Brake Pads have been making some noise over the past couple of months. Seems to happen mainly at low speeds, when coming to a stop. Anyone else with these pads experiencing this? The car has 15K on it now, they probably went on in the first 1-2K miles. I don't think they should require replacing at this point. Any ideas?

Not sure how the replacement pads orientate on the stinger, but I’m my exploder, the “inside” vs “outside” pads had different boss/alignment notches.

I had two shops screw up and mix them (the second did it even after I explained and showed them). Resulted in a small contact patch on a raised boss where all the piston pressure was on. Screwed up the rotors and squeaked very badly within a few hundred miles. Caught it within a day on the second time.

they were stop tech pads as well

Hmm..., I'll have to pop the wheels off and take a look. I've been tempted to put the original pads back on now that it is making noise.

With that mileage it is Very unlikely the pads need to be replaced. Check the disk for scoring marks, if you see any then switch pads, if not then it could be debris accumulation or crystallization of the pads due to the lower ambient temperatures.
