Splash guards

I recently had my vehicle serviced and they recommend that I buy splash guards. They cost $500 at the Kia dealer . Do people on this forum recommend splash guards and should I buy them from the Kia dealer or do you recommend an alternative?

Sure thing, they will save your paint over time. Go OEM from "kia parts now". I paid for a full set of OEM mudguards a month ago, $100.01 delivered to my door.

Interesting, temporarily very frustrating job today.

I put these OEM mudguards on my first Stinger several years ago, at around 33,000 miles - had started to see "sandblasting" in the paint behind the rear wheels. That is with wider wheels in the rear, 9.5", plus less offset, pushing the outer tread out enough to poke at the bottom where the fender tucks in. Since I am planning on moving those lighter wheels over to the 2019 2.0L in the months ahead, I got ready now with the mudguards.

Everything went better than the first time, except for the inside pop clips underneath in front. As you...
