Spark plug gapping

I did some browsing on spark plugs and gaping and ran across an interesting tip: Bad Ass Cars noted that side gaping could give a few extra horses. Side gaping is when you grind the spark plug ground strap down about half way to the center electrode. The idea being, is that more of the spark is exposed to the open cylinder, verses being shielded. Makes sense to me. Check out Bad-Ass Racing Engines - custom street and race engines.

Interesting theory. Form what I know it is a sound one.
