Sliding cover over USB ports not staying open

Hi Everyone,
In the front between driver and passenger where the USB/lighter ports are is a door that slides over to close. Weird but I can't seem to get it to lock in the open position - it always wants to slide shut. I know, this is a silly question, but it's a brand new car and it's annoying me. Anyone ever see this issue? How to fix?

Hi. This is a first. The handful of times anyone has mentioned the sliding cover at all, it is to complain that it won't shut all the way and has to be teased all the way closed with your fingers. Your catch is busted. Fortunately it is under warranty.
