should i buy a new jb4?

so I currently own an old jb4. it has a plastic cover on it. mainly wondering if there is a way to check if all connections are working properly or not or if I should get a newer one in general? not sure if it will make a difference between older and new jb4. currently do not have it installed but I do have the fuel and EWG wires connected to that baby but haven't used the EWG wires just yet.

Unless its broken should work fine, they all use the same firmware and provide the same tuning, although harnesses and enclosures on the newer ones are nicer. And if you buy new you get 5 years warranty/support from us.
