  2. PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Shop Rate & Block Heater Install (Canada)

Discussion in 'Canada Stinger Forum' started by Clearly Canadian, Feb 12, 2018.

  1. In a bit of a dispute with Kia right now so I'm micromanaging some costs.

Is $170/hr a realistic shop rate for Canada, and would it take 1.5 hours to install a block heater? Block heater part cost is $200.

    So $455 total plus tax.

$170/hr would be high in the US.

1.5hr install from the dealer sounds about right as I don’t think there is much they can install that would be less than an hour in the book.

  3. Dealer installed a “Premium” block heater, the likes I’ve never seen.

Love the Ghost Grey on those rims !

Most Kia dealerships are using that style of Block heater now. However its not premium. If you look at Mercedes and other german cars they have the same style of plug built into the bumper so I guess you could say its the Euro type
