Has anyone taken their lightly modded Stinger in for service to any bay area dealerships? I need to take mine in for a few different reasons (sunroof rattle, diff grinding, and the waste gate screech). I'm trying to go to a dealership that wont flag me for taking my cats off and blaming the wg screech on my mid pipes, or tell me noting is wrong with my diff because it's intermittent and "they didn't hear it"
I think what the silence is saying is, your situation is problematic: you might find a cooperative dealer/service department, you might end up with exactly what you're afraid of: denial. Odd, though, that nobody has suggested a cooperative service place. I'm imagining being in your situation; modded exhaust, wondering how that affects service going forward; and nobody is helping with referrals to a good shop. If I felt good about where I bought my car and get its warranty service done, I'd start with them. If no joy, I'd start the quest to find a suitable place starting with Google reviews, and phone calls, etc. I hope that you find a place soon. You've been at this for a while already.
I'm trying to figure out the same thing. And it's odd...generally no matter what minor (or flat ridiculous) question/observation is posed here, there's usually an abundance of responses and opinions. But this topic? Crickets. And I know they're out there, seen occasional references.
