Hi.
I read on the kia site (in sweden)
That for the 3.3 version (non-diesel).
The service interval is 10000 KM (6213.712 miles)

Is this the same in like the states etc?

and how come the lower versions with diesel has 30000km (18641.14 miles)?
Why could it differ so much?

10,000km service intervals aren't uncommon for petrol engines, though 12,500km and 15,000km intervals are often seen as well. The 3.3l GDI-TT engine is pretty different to many petrol engines due to the direct injection and twin-turbos, and that may account for the service interval being at the lower-end of the scale.

Diesel engines tend to last longer between services than petrol engines. 30,000km seems very long even for a diesel, but if that's what Kia is confident in, that sounds great!

The trick may be the "30,000km, or xx months, which ever comes first" line that manufacturers often use in their servicing requirements.

Hi, @Gargamel. Welcome to the forum. 6K miles is the standard oil and filter change in the US. 3K miles in "severe" driving conditions. I compromise and get my oil changed every c. 4K, but I'm not a fanatic about it. It's a guideline, really. :P
