I have a 2020 GT2 with ultimate performance down and mid pipes installed, as well as the UP intercooler with 3” charge pipe. Hks plugs gapped at 22 and k&n air filters. (HATED the Stillen cold air intake so I put stock air boxes back on). Also installed an oil catch can. I’m in CA so I can only get 91 octane fuel
The day after installing my intercooler my check engine light came on with 2 O2 sensor issues so I took off my JB4 and had my mechanic reset the errors. I was running it map 3 and was hitting the gas pretty good when the issue arose. I’m wondering if I should really be looking into a bench flash tune with the upgrades I’ve added? I LOVE the JB4 and I instantly missed the additional power. I’m thinking of sending my ECU to Tork Motorsport, purchasing their second flash tuned ECU so I can swap them out for dealership service. Has anyone done this yet?

The manufacturer of the Ultimate performance downpipe kit does suggest a flash tune but I cant comment much more on that. I do know that you shouldn't be running anything higher than map2 on JB4 if all you can get is 91 octane. For map 3 you should be using 93octane or e30.

I think I just figured out why the O2 sensor tripped. I was reinstalling the JB4 this morning and noticed the post you connect to the red wire had backed out some so I bet it lost the connection. This just a guess. I’m going to run on map 2 for awhile and see how it performs. Did I read somewhere that you can install other maps based on upgrades you’ve done? If so does anyone know of one for the down/mid pipes and intercooler upgrade?

If you have a faulty o2 sensor code, why don't you fix the o2 sensor? Car isn't going to run right with a faulty o2 sensor with any tune.

If it's a false alarm fault, not an actual problem, that should be easy to figure out as well. A connection being lose won't trip a fault code but would cause a fuel trim mismatch in logs as AFR in one bank would be much richer than the other.

What are the fault codes exactly?

As to flash mapping swapping the ECU doesn't escape detection. It's a myth spread by those trying to sell second ECUs. With a flash map true torque and load are still stored on the transmission computer and stability control computer. Swapping the ECU won't erase those. Furthermore the dealership can tell the ECU was replaced and put back by looking at mileage to ECU reconciliation events with the KOMBI.
