Hello: Was about to leave the OC Cars/Coffee on Saturday, and saw a few people around what looked like a Stinger. I asked the young Marketing Asst. and she confirmed it, and had me talk to the Kia Marketing Director who was very friendly and walked me through the car. It was a "Pilot"vehicle that was built in Korea and sent to the US for the team here to evaluate. White with Black interior, nice wheels, Brembo brakes. I should have taken a few pictures, brain cramp. Hatchback with a low roof-line and small windows. I got in the car, hit my foot on the triple ledge, and bumped my head on the roof. Comfortable seats, simple gauge package, with what looks like an added on screen. The Rep reminded me it is also looks like what Mercedes does. LOTS of leg-room, I moved the seat up, and that obviously helped the rear leg room. Started the car , it was very quiet, too quiet, they agreed and have asked Kia to change it. Full Hatch-back with fold down flat rear seats, HMMM. He also told me the Genesis brand will have a 4 door sedan version. The car will be built in Korea only.
Rear bias with AWD, 8 speed automatic, shooting for under 5 second 0-60, they wouldn't say 1/4 mile time. Opened the hood couldn't readily see the Turbos. Car will weigh at least 4,000 lb's he said. Cars will be in Dealers in November. Nice car, will consider it for a Daily Driver, with a few others. Audi A4, Fusion Sport, Accord Touring, 2018 Camry XLS V6.

I saw on Instagram. Glad you got to see it in real life

Hello Mr. Lucca,

Thank you for signing up! That Genesis sedan will be the G70. The Stinger should DEFINITELY be under 5 seconds to 60 miles per hour. The exhaust is supposed to be louder for Stingers sold outside of Korea. Yes, the Korean version is VERY quiet. No good! Not for most of us, anyway...

So you're looking for a new daily driver, huh? You mentioned some great choices. The A4, while REALLY nice, isn't it small compared to everything else on your list? Unless it's recently grown... The Fusion Sport is quite nice. I do like it. If you're looking to keep your daily driver stock - no problem at all. If you want to modify it for more power - I think the Stinger will be the better choice. I don't hear a lot of great success tuning the Fusion Sport. I'm not sure why...

The Accord Touring is a great, great car. It's basically an Acura TL. But after 2017 you're not going to see a V6 anymore. At least that's what I'm told... The Camry XLS V6 is really nice as well. All great choices on your list...

Over 4,000 lbs really? That's a damn shame. That's definitely not just the GT with AWD? I'd be shocked if the regular 2.0T got close to that but if the V6 is then it must not be too far off. For the car to be that fat I'm concerned about the fuel economy now.
