I just purchased a Stinger GT with the staggered tire sizes. The rear wheels are slightly wider (half an inch). I was wondering if there would be any problem replacing the tires with the same size tires when they need replacing. I was thinking of going 225 at all four corners. My winter tires are 225 all around on winter wheels and it seems totally fine.

Thanks in advance.

Half an inch wider rim would only "stretch" the rear tires a bit. It might look stretched compared to the front tires. This might result in a different handling feel if the car is pushed, because the stretched tires will have less sidewall flex and firmer tread plant. But as I say, this would only become evident when the car is pushed in a corner, if there is any difference at all.

I would expect faster tread wear in the rear if you remove the half inch wider tread. And staggered already have treadlife warranties reduced by half for the simple reason that you can't rotate staggered rims setups. Even if you go with tires all the same size, you still can't switch your wider rear rims to the front.

Oh, and welcome to the forum! :D

It looks like you're in Canada and I'm pretty sure Canadians only get AWD. In that case there wouldn't be too big of an issue. 225s on a 8.5" wheel is a bit stretched but not unheard of but as was said, you can't rotate staggered wheels to the front. If I were you I'd go maybe with 19x8-19x9 with 245s all around for summers if I was determined to run square.
