Here's the breakdown of the good experience I had with Route 23 Kia:
* After negotiating and agreeing on price over the phone. When they received the car (the config I wanted had to be found and transferred) they sent someone to pick me up to take back to the dealership (my car was recently totaled due to flash flood).
* When I got there I was informed that the previous dealer had installed a rebadge package but it would be no extra cost to me. They offered to return it to stock but I said hell no! the rebadge is hella nice!
* My sales guy is Kia Stinger certified, he made sure to answer all questions, as well as went through and exhaustively explained pretty much every detail of how everything in the car worked.
* There was no hardcore push for any extra warranties or packages while I was working with the finance guy. Of course he showed me the options and gave the usual spiel but he didn't press when I said no thanks.
* This one is the biggest plus...I negotiated and agreed to a certain price over the phone, but when I got home with the new car and went through all the paperwork again I realized they overcharged. I know I should've been more diligent in looking everything over before signing, so when I called them back about it I was certain they'd deny the mistake. But to my pleasant surprise they admitted it and I'm going back tomorrow to redo the paperwork to the proper amount agreed.
There you have it.
