Anyone know how to remove the leather from the T shift knob?

Anyone know how to remove the leather from the T shift knob?

Is it's even real leather? Seems more like a cheaper vinyl to me. Never felt as nice as say, the steering wheel leather does and that's when my car was new.

Ima sure the T shifter is not real leather. Even the bolsters on the seats are not real leather. It's very good quality fake leatherette of some kind. But over time the difference in wear ability is going to show up.
