Remote Start Question

Hi, I've seen people say that after 10 minutes of the remote start being on it shuts off and beeps the horn. How loud is the horn for this? Is it just a quick tap of the horn or a full on blaring for a second or two? If anyone has a video of this, I would really appreciate it.

Also does anyone know the difference between the remote start module ending in AC100 vs AC101? I asked a kia dealer on ebay and they said they are the same, kia just changed the part number. Not quite sure if that is accurate. I can get the AC100 module for considerably cheaper right now though so if they are the same, that's great.

It's the full blast for about 2 seconds.

If you're not planning to drive it within 10 minutes, don't start it. Even in cold weather, it doesn't take 10 minutes to reach normal driving temperature.

Okay, thanks for the info! If I have the car temp set to auto, will this defrost in the winter as well?

It will defrost windows using the hvac system. It will not turn on the rear defroster.
