Has anyone (in Canada and US) attempted to pull apart the rear turn signal led enclosure? Looking to paint the housing surrounding the LEDs black so that each LED crystal stands out (like in the pic below). Should be fairly easy to pull apart?

An outside tint would be easier and safer in terms of not causing any damage.

Wouldn’t quite get the same effect. The turn signal will still look like a giant triangle. I’ll give it a crack when the weather is better. I know you can buy the Korean version of the taillights which has this look but I’d rather DIY if I can.

Why not use a solid vinyl? No less opaque, and far easier to apply (and remove if necessary).
