Have only about 5,000 miles on my 2020 Stinger GT2, and I'm getting a little worried about the howl apparently coming from my rear end. At least it sounds like a worn diff.

It happens at 34-35 mph, on reverse loading, such as when coasting down an incline. I haven't abused my car at all - in fact, the rear wheels have never been spun. - and I'm easy on my cars.

Anyone else getting that high-pitched howl? Is it "normal" for this car?

You're talking about a manifestation that has gotten your attention; I'm sure the new noise level is not normal. Don't most complaints of "new noises" from the rear end accompany a LSD?

Thanks. Turns out I'm taking my car in soon for the infamous "trunk clunk", so I'll have them look at the diff at the same time. Just wondered if others might have noticed it.

My buddy's demo had to have the rear differ placed at 25 miles
