Rattling Sound what is it?

Anyone experienced this rattling sound? Checked it yesterday at a friends workshop said might be zircon compressor rattling. When I switch off the zircon the rattle goes off but when I switch it on the rattle comes.

The diesel-like rattle, worse at cold start and quiets down once the car warms up? That's the High Pressure Fuel Pump, which is basically an additional valve run off the camshaft.

It's covered in about a half inch thick foam rubber insulator, but you can put your head next to it or feel it to see if that matches the sound rattle you're hearing.

(If by zircon you mean air conditioner, turning that off might reduce the HPFP noise because your revs will drop a little bit. But if you think it's actually the AC compressor, you can stick your head down under the front bumper as it's located low in front of the engine).
