Never had a car with leather seats before and thought I should start cracking the windows down in the summer to prevent them from drying out. Because of rain, I realize I need rain guards. I've never had these on any car 'cause I thought they were dorky looking.

I would pref. to avoid putting any tape on the outside of the car so the in-channel type makes sense. But the Stinger manual speaks of an auto reverse safety function. There are various modes depending on how you are using the window buttons. It says that if you pull the Window controls all the way up and they encounter an object that the window will back down an inch. Well, this makes sense of they detect the rain guards as I won't have to crack them open manually. The window should close if I pull the window switches up to the half-way position.

Anyone have experience with in-channel rain guards to verify that this is how they work and that I can actually close the window all the way when needed?
