Question on Wheel/Tire Fitment

I looked through the tire/wheel threads and haven’t been able to come up with an exact answer so I figured I’d throw this out there to see if anyone can clarify it for me on my 2019 GT2 AWD.

I have a set of XXR 552 19x8.5 ET40 wheels that I was using with 5mm spacers as my winter tire setup on 225/40/19s. I decided I am going to go back to a smaller diameter wheel for next winter so I wanted to put some UHP tires on these (Indy 500s) and was wondering if I can go 255/35/19 square if I use the 5mm spacers. My primary concern is clearance in the front as I can imagine there wouldnt be any issues in the rear.

From my reading over the months on this topic, your specs look to me to be workable. In fact, that 5mm spacer is probably necessary in front with a 255/35 tire. (You didn't need the spacer in front for the 225/40, on 8.5" wide and 40 offset: that is exactly what I currently run and the spokes clear the calipers just fine.)
