I've been bouncing around between trying to find a MY2018 or just ponying up on the 2019. I have a local dealer who over the phone is basically saying he could get to the following off MSRP on 2019s, excluding any finance or lease cash. I also will not get any Military or Conquest (assuming I lease, which is my intention...lease, apply the lease cash and then buy outright). Ceramic and Red on both, and location is North Carolina:
GT2 AWD at $53,890MSRP - $6,000 off
GT1 AWD at $48,495MSRP - $5,000 off
Assuming no shenanigans or surprises (he already disclosed the bullshit package they include standard, which I said I would not pay for...), does this seem like decent pricing or is there more to get? He is indicating that this is probably about $2,500 below invoice. But I assume they get holdback or bonuses for selling # of units.
If it is good, then I have to decide how much I'm willing to pay for the GT2. Lease cash for 24 months is $8,500 and $6,400 respectively. So the MSRP price difference between the two is $5,395. The incentives and discount for the GT2 are $3,100 better on the GT2, putting the net price before TTL at about $2,300 more for the GT2 by my math. I'm going to be driving a ton of highway miles on a weekly commute...so thinking I might be willing to fork over the difference for the added safety features. I could care less about back seat heating or Nappa leather.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!
