Power Seat Lumbar Adjustment - is this normal?

On my 2018 Stinger GT2 I noticed shortly after I bought it that if I used the driver-side power seat's lumbar adjustment to move the adjustment DOWN it ALSO pushes the lumbar adjustment OUT. The passenger-side adjustment doesn't exhibit this behavior at all. Is this normal? Yea I can move the adjustment back in after moving it down but this seems really like it should *not* work this way.
