I have been worried about trying to buy out the lease on my 2019 GTS AWD.
The quote i had was hundreds of dollars In fees. Plus I had been reading all the horror stories posted about lease buyouts.
After the dealer and I could not agree on trading it in on a grey 2022 GT2 AWD, I decided to just buy out my lease.
They charged me $79 in fees to end the lease and buy the car. This was basically the state fees to transfer the title from Kia to me.
I had to pay sale tax on the residual and the residual value too but that was expected. The dealer fees were the only unknown.
