Hey guys.

It's painfully obvious that the Uvo system in America is inferior to other places (like Canada). We can't turn our car on/off with the app among other things (please let me know if I'm wrong about this, that would be great news).

When I shut the car off, I always get the message "Parking location was not transmitted. Phone is not connected". Image attached. And from my Uvo app, the attached photo shows as well when I try to see where the car is parked. The error goes away if the phone (iPhone) is physically plugged into the car via USB. Thing is, if my phone were plugged into the car when it was turned off, I would know where it was parked, obviously, because I would have been in it. I'd like to use this feature to keep tabs on valet's and other people driving the car. Am I doing something wrong?

How do you other US owners utilize the Uvo app?

The data is transferred via USB to the phone, hence why it has to be plugged in. Makes it somewhat not useful in my opinion...

I dont think that is what it is intended for (to keep tabs on where valet is parking your car, etc.). It is supposed to be used so that you can find your car on a map inside the app if you are having trouble remembering where you parked. Might not be useful for many people, but imagine you park downtown in a decently sized city, spend the day there, and in the evening cant remember which of the 16 local parking garages you parked your car in. Or maybe you are parked in a GIANT parking lot (like a large amusement park or something).

The point is, it is not designed to send the location of your car wirelessly at any given time. In other words, no, you cannot use it to track where your wife is driving your car....

Can we turn this notification off somehow? Rather annoying....
