strangest thing today. after given this code of bank 1, sensor 2, (below required voltage) I set off to replace it. putting the wrench to the sensor, in astonishment i found it to be pretty loose in the bung. i tightened it, attached my scanner and unbelievably it was working as it should. i'm assuming bad ground? and how do i clear a permanent code?

I thought about this one after I asked this question. I thought to myself that permanent codes are held by the computer until so many cycles after the repair. I went out for supper, about 10 miles each way, and it had cleared itself.

Just a note on this. When it began it said that my voltage was below that required (bank 1, sensor 2 - the downstream sensor). Both bank readings should read very close to each other. This was not the case when I did a live stream initially. After tightening the B1 S2, these readings of both down stream sensors were in fact extremely close to each other. This also made the car smoother in running while driving at a steady level.
