NGI Piggyback Shield and ECU Cover

Has anybody bought the NGI Piggyback Shield and ECU Cover for JB4 on the KDM website with their JB4 tuner? I'm wondering if this is an aesthetics component to cover up that area or if it is needed to keep the thing from getting messed up. Doesn't cost too much but if i can purchase it later down the road, i'd rather.

I have the BMS one. It is great to cover up the tuner.

Great. I like the BMS one because you have access to the windshield wiper fluid.
