Got stranded today when I ran out of gas in my new < 300 mile Stinger GT1. Turns out the gas gauge was stuck and showed I had over 1/4 tank when I had nothing. Waited 90 minutes for Kia Roadside assistance to send help. That gave me plenty of time to browse this forum and saw someone with similar symptoms that clued me into what the issue could be. Thanks to what I read here, I got the tow truck driver to take me to a gas station first before going to the dealer and I filled up and the car then started fine.
Never run out of gas before in 20 years of driving (never owned a Kia before, so got used to owning reliable cars) and between the pandemic and not commuting any more and my wife also using the car + lower gas mileage than I am used to, I wasn't tracking things as I should.
Anyway, don't trust your gas gauge unless you have filled up and emptied it a few times! I now don't trust the car at all and am wondering what else they missed in QA at the factory. I really regret not getting the Genesis G70, at least I would have gotten a decent loaner car and better dealer service even if it did break down.
Edit: Here is the name of the original thread that clued me in to my problem (forum won't let me post links even to their own site as I'm new.)
