Hi all, we just bought a 2019 GT2 limited AWD ( Canadian), with 40,000kms. We are picking it up tomorrow. Love the look, feel etc. of this car. Looking for things I should keep an eye on as I do not know much about them. Also, how do I know if I have auto start? I assume it would have it, how do I work it if I do?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Stinger! I'm glad you found us. What did the Stinger replace for you?

For auto start, are you referring to starting the car without a key?

Welcome to the hive! post up some pics when you get a chance! As far as I know all Canadian Stingers have remote start via the UVO app. Where are you located?

Thanks guys. It's my wife's care. Replacing a compass Trailhawk. I mean autostart on the key fob. We test drove a 2023. It worked with hitting the lock button twice. This 2019 does not? Is there another procedure for an older model?

Congratulations on the Stinger and welcome to the group!

The OEM Brakes will give you a violent shaking upon braking, this can be fixed with our K8SS pads.

We created the K8SS Elite Sport Ceramic pads specifically to fix the issues with the OEM brake pads.

The MY23 Stinger GT has a Remote like this.

Push the LOCK Button ONCE

then

Push and hold the middle button marked HOLD for 4 to 5 seconds until car starts


Push HOLD once to Stop


If this does not work I suggest you google the Online manual for your vehicle at Kia.
