New intake sounds, normal?

So this is my first turbo car and I recently installed a K&N typhoon system and was wondering about the now, what sounds really loud to me, intake sounds. I have linked a short video from the drivers seat that you can hear the intake noise. I was wondering if the loudness of it is normal after going to a more open intake design. The windows are up and its in comfort mode. Thanks!!

Sounds pretty normal to me. You're hearing the turbo's spooling up and sucking in air, then when letting off of the gas you're hearing the blow off valves releasing the remaining boost.

I thought that was what it is. I just wasn't expecting it to be so much louder than the stock intake. When I first heard it, I thought I didn't tighten a connection enough lol. Thanks!
