3.3TT Need help with tire sizing

Good afternoon,

Awhile back I bought Niche Gamma 19x8.5 35mm with 225/40r19 DWS. I am now in need to replace all four. I noticed that the tires were a bit stretched before and would like to know what is the widest I can go tire size wise without any rub on stock suspension on my AWD.

If you look at the guides on places like tiresize.com, a 255/35 like what comes on the rear stock 8.5" wheels is about as wide as is recommended. But there are definitely people running 265s and 275s out back, usually with a 235 or 245 front (on 8" wheels).

With 8.5s all around, 255s will work. I think that's with a +25 or +30 offset, so if your +35 is too close on the inside front, a 5mm spacer should make them work.
