Now that I’m well out of break in period, plus colder weather and winter tires on the car, I’ve been playing around with it a little more.

When I take TC and SC off, and punch it out of a turn getting the car to slide a bit, I find the nannies are still kicking in and are momentarily kicking power down until the car regained traction/straightens itself out (which it does very well imo). Kind of annoying tho when you want to have some fun in the slippery weather. Are others experiencing this behaviour?

Definitely. Pulled into my snowy (and empty) parking lot at work yesterday, turned off TC and SC, and wanted to see what kind of doughnuts an AWD could do.

It's actually pretty decent (not nearly as good as a full RWD car), but I kept getting shut down mid spin by the ECU pulling power.

Side note, did the same today with TC and SC on. I was impressed how much composure the car had despite me trying to get it to break free, spin, etc. It definitely feels a little "choppy" - the AWD models use the brakes on the spinning tires to force the power to tires with more traction - but it more or less kept me moving in the direction I pointed the tires at.

Get a VW Beetle for winter donuts. ;) I am only half joking though. Because my Beetles of long ago afforded the most fun in the snow, hands down. I have only turned the SC/TC off once in eight months, to test LC. I do not plan on turning them off again any time in the perceivable future.
