I'm working on a way to monitor my Meth tank in a non intrusive manner. Meaning no holes, no floats, no probes, ect.. I found these neat sensors that sit on the outside of the tank and use a capacitive reaction to water levels. They will simply get some double sided sticky tape, and stuck on the outside of the tank. The cool thing is it doesn't matter what type, or color tank you have! The concept was simple but the construction is a bit more challenging.
I started with an Arduino Nano micro-controller and a 1.3" LCD screen. After 40+ hours of coding, I was able to create the graphics and monitor where the water/meth was at different levels. Once I complete this project and get it installed, I will provide a detailed list of parts needed, to include the Arduino code to build your own. Several people have already asked me to make them one but I don't have the capacity or time to make these for others, sorry. I will however answer questions and assist in anyway possible I can! Maybe BMS can pick this up and package it for the masses?
