I've been enjoying my Stinger and JB4 for a long time now - absolutely love this product, and this car.
I'm an amateur at best with this stuff, trying to learn as I go.
We recently relocated from MN to FL, and I drove the Stinger the entire way, it topped over 20K miles (15K of those miles on the same Denso plugs gapped down to recommended gap when I installed them).
On the way down I noticed 93 octane fuel became more and more available, especially down here in Florida, so I started using that on map 1.
However, I also started to notice my RPM jittering once boost would kick in. After a few days settled in down here, the problem got far worse - as soon as the boost kicks in, the engine suddenly feels like I hit a rev limiter. The logs show an RPM drop from 3300 to 700 or so, and it remains there.
I've been comparing a past "known good" run with map2, and there are a few things that worry me...
Compared to the "known good" run... the bad run shows these issues:
1. RPM drops down to 700 (per logs) and stays there, boost readings stay at +3.
2. ign_2-6 jump WAY up - like, way, way up compared to the good run.
3. fp_h starts much lower than it did before, and instead of staying up at 10 during the run, it drops to 3 at the same time the RPMs drop.
Other notes:
- It doesn't feel or sound like there are any misfires at idle.
- The behavior does persist on map 0, and when I remove the JB4 entirely.
So... again - amateur here - It seems like I either need to replace my plugs, or there's something going wrong with my HPFP? I'd rather not bring it in for service, unless I'm out of other options. I'm still waiting on the moving truck (and most of my tools... and my summer tires) so I can't pull the plugs to check them quite yet.
The two files are attached. The good run on map 2, and a run on map 1 after I started seeing this issue. There's probably 10K of miles at least in difference between these two logs.
Thanks a ton for any help or insight anyone can offer!
