The majority of mechanics I've spoken to tell me that lowering a vehicle will typically shorten the life span of your shocks. I see there are quite a number of peeps that have lowered their cars. Has anyone reported their shocks have started giving up the ghost as a result?
So the next question would be how much are the OEM shocks if you do have to replace them?
I was thinking about ARK springs as they lower the car less than an inch and that may help to not substantially reduce the life of the shocks.
I welcome any feedback.
I know it pays to play but if the result is going to be $2k+ for replacement shocks it will probably be better to leave it alone.
As an fyi all the cars I've owned have been lowered. I currently also have an Evo 8 on Ohlin coilvers.
