Hey guys, bought a 2019 GT recently and this has been kind of a burning question in my mind since. Is it normal for engine RPM to be around 1100-1250 while cruising in this car? That seems extremely low compared to all my previous vehicles, and the result is that in eco/comfort there is just zero power when I want to increase my speed a little, say going from a 45 to a 50mph zone. It feels like I am just lugging the engine unless I step on the gas enough to force a downshift, which usually results in more acceleration than I actually wanted. Sport mode is better, tends to hover around 2K rpm while cruising and it feels very responsive to my pedal input.

Does this sound normal? Are all stingers just tuned this way, shifting super early and trying to stay around 1200rpm?

Max torque is at 1300rpm
Comfort/Eco is tuned for efficiency.
Therefore RPMs are minimized but I never feel any lugging even at 1100rpm when doing 50kph

Completely normal, including the feeling when it downshifts that you are getting more than you asked for. :P I drive with the paddle shifters and do not have that problem, since this allows me to regulate the exact amount of acceleration I want in the gear that offers the response I want. If you want to stay in automatic mode, but you're going to do a quick pass, for instance, just pull the left paddle once or twice and then feed in the gas at your discretion; the trans will revert back to "D" in c. five seconds after you back off the gas to resume cruising. By the way, I use Custom almost exclusively, and have engine/transmission set to Eco.
