Last Sunday my low oil pressure light came on. Most of the threads here attribute that to a bad oil pressure sensor. Yesterday I took it to an independent shop and sure enough that was why problem. Again most of the threads priced the fix at around $3,000. and I was quoted $3,400. to fix mine. That is mostly labor as to get at the sensor requires much engine disassembly. However I have a Car Shield extended warranty which is paying for all but $212. of the bill, my $100. deductible and $112. extra labor. Naturally I am happy as can be. This is the second time I have had to use Car Shield, the first being when I had to replace the complete video head which was over $2,000. but only cost me $100. Needless to say I recommend Car Shield. My Stinger
is a 2018 GT 1 with 72,000 miles on it.

What was your original purchase amount to get the insurance policy?

With CarShield it is a month-to-month policy. It cost me $59 a month and I’ve had it for approximately a year. I bought it when the original warranty which in my case was 60,000 miles ran out. The reason my warranty was only 60,000 miles instead of 100,000 miles was due to the fact I bought the Kia preowned.

Yeah, if you don't get a CPO then you inherit the reduced warranty. I'd be thinking about that too if my drivetrain warranty was passed.
