Little mufflers....... Did you know ?

So when I was doing my AFe charge pipes recently, I took the inlet's off and noticed there are little mufflers in the inlets to keep the turbo noise to a minimum.






This also started me wondering.

Does anyone sell replacement pipes that fit up to the OEM air boxes ?

Do you think they could be removed without interfering with performance?

In short, no. I might be wrong but I think you'd probably destroy the duct getting them out.
