Hey folks,

After researching through all the great buyout threads here, I recently leased a Kia Stinger GT2 in CA. I have now received the KMF account details and setup the account and got the buyout quote through the website. At this point I had some questions:
1. Do I just get my financing in order and mail them the check in the "Regular mailing address" with a cover letter mentioning my title info including lien-holder information ? Or should I call someone up at KMF to open a case-number or something to track the buyout ?
2. Should I let my bank take care of sending the check and following up with KMF, or is it better I do it myself ?
3. I haven't yet received my lease-based title from the CA DMV. Should I wait until I receive that to do the buyout ? Will DMV be confused with another title change :) ?
4. Other than sending the check to KMF, do I need to do anything, like send the DMV some info ?
5. Anything I'm missing ?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I simply wrote a cheque to HCA Exchange, Inc. for the buyout amount; along with an odometer reading, as I recall; and less than a month later the title came in the mail.

Thanks @MerlintheMad! Will do the same then.
This was Utah. YMMV, as the saying goes. Check first for differences. Even a call to Kia might be useful. I made one phone call to make sure I hadn't left anything out, before I sent the cheque.
