I had been checking inventory for 5 different dealerships in the D.C. area almost daily. King Kia was the only one who actually listed the inventory that was en route instead of just what was on the lot, so I saw they were getting a RWD Limited Sunset Yellow base GT in. I was waffling on whether or not I could live without the sunroof and stereo of the GT1, but once it had been delivered I gave them a call and Daniel Rouff spoke to me. He's been with them for about 20 years, and despite it being the limited model, was able to knock off the $900 destination fee for me. So just a quick phone conversation to settle on the price then I drove over (I live 10 minutes away) and test drove it. Signed the paperwork. Had to wait a little for the finance manager so in the meantime he followed me home in an Optima so I could drop off my car, then drove me back to the dealership where I dealt with the finance officer who I actually had a lot of fun talking to about Star Wars and comic books, then drove my Stinger home. A+ experience and once my wife is done with my Optima in ~4 years I'll probably head back and pick up a Niro or some kind of hybrid for her. 10 years from now maybe an all electric Stinger for me?

For people interested in the Sunset Yellow, I know the dealerships had to compete to get one, but these guy deal in such volume that they're getting a total of three in. Still expecting a yellow RWD GT2 later this month.
