Kia first dedicated hybrid model, the 2017 Niro will soon be heading out to dealers. Before that happens, pricing details have been revealed.
A quick refresher on the Niro. This model utilizes a new platform dedicated to hybrid and electric vehicles. The powertrain is comprised of 1.6L four-cylinder and electric motor to deliver 146 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. A 1.56-kWh lithium-ion battery provides juice to the electric motor. A six-speed dual-clutch is the sole transmission.
The base Niro FE will begin at $23,785 (includes $895 destination charge). The list of standard equipment is quite generous with a backup camera, six-way power front seats, power windows, keyless entry, cruise control, a 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; and 16-inch alloy wheels.
