Hi fellow Kia owners, can you kindly confirm on the following in relation to the Kia Stinger Smart Key
  • What settings does the individualised smart key stores ?
  • Does it
    • Move the seat to the stored 1 or 2 settings depending on the smart key fob used to unlock the car ?
    • Assume the first question is yes, I assume it will also adjust the side mirrors accordingly to the stored setting based on the memory 1 or 2 ?
    • How about the electronic telescopic steering settings ?
    • Any other settings that it hold based on Individual Key Fobs being used to lock / unlock the car ?
Appreciate your help with the above.

Thank you.

The seat adjusts to the last person driving the car, it is not read from they smart key. If my wife and I trade driving during a trip after a stop, she (or I) have to press the Set1 or Set2 button to use our preferred settings.

The seat memory setting buttons also retain the mirror settings and steering wheel settings for each of the two setting buttons.

Thank you for your quick reply. Just curious when you press the Set1 or Set2 - do you have to hold it for it to complete or once pressed, it will continue to move the seats, mirrors etc to the position ? Strange being such a new car, they did not code the key fobs to memory settings. I find this feature extremely helpful as when I use my key fob to unlock the car, it moves the seats etc and when my wife uses her key fob, it moves to her settings immediately when she unlocks the car - save the step of having to press the Set1 or Set2. Hopefully they will improve this.

Thanks.
