I have a 2018 base Kia Stinger, as in, no Brembo brakes, it doesn't have the bottom grill design, no sunroof..
sorry i know, its still a beautiful stinger. I was wondering..
I want to switch my headlights.
I have the Circular led's
linekiamine.webp
but I don't know if I can switch it to the linear version.

Can I buy the base version of those headlights and have them fit with out any issues??
I've seen them on a base 2018 before. I'm wondering because I ordered the bottom grill
for my stinger but it wouldn't fit because its wasn't the same size..... so that was a waste.
If anyone can help me on this, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm not sure specifically about these but usually adaptive headlights have a control unit which is not integrated into the headlamp itself.
So, even if they would turn on through a plug&play installation, I don't think they'd move up/down (which in is pretty important and I think mandatory by law) or left-right.
BUT, I remember reading on VW Forums (because of my previous car) that a lot of ppl were doing retrofits of the adaptive bi-xenon headlamps and I remember that you could buy them with the control unit and whoever installed them could make them fully operational.

thanks for that help but i still think i need more information fml

It's not just shape, it's hookups. Some discussion of this happened on here a couple years back. I think that even the static (non bendable) LED in the GT/GT1/Premium has different hookups than the Base. Unless some forum member knows specifically, if it were me asking, I'd go check out a Kia service center and pursue it from a parts matchup; if the LED swap is compatible it should be verified through the parts numbers. However, even if it does work, the LED headlight assembly is expensive. The prices have come down, but one of them is still well over a thousand dollars brand new.
