The all-new Kia Stinger could be the hottest new car from South Korea they’ve ever built. Look what happened from their Super Bowl ad.

Kia decided to advertise their all-new Stinger GT during the third quarter of Super Bowl LII, and it paid off big for the South Korean automaker. As the Philadelphia Eagles were beating the New England Patriots, Variety.com says 103.4 million viewers, saw ads from several car brands during pre-game, halftime, and the game, including Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, Lexus, Ram, Jeep, and Mercedes-Benz. Interesting to see what the February sales number will be.

It will do them no good if they don't expand the number and variety of models available for sale. The same attention span (miniscule) that causes the spike in interest during a super bowl ad will be immediately extinguished when it is discovered that the color/configuration they want is nowhere within 2000 miles of their location.
Where I am in Chattanooga TN, there are 3 kia dealers within 50 miles, with 9 stingers amongst them. 5 2.0's, 2 GT1, 2 GT2 (0 GT). 1 AWD. 0 (as far as I can tell) with "driveWise" package. 5 white, 3 black, and 1 blue. And as far as I can tell, none are selling.

There could be some reasons for slow sales. It takes time for the word to get around. After a few Chargers and Camaros and Mustangs are dusted by these strange Kias, things will perk up. Also, many people don't just decide one day to switch cars, especially at this price point. And I agree with the distribution of models. I'm finding a lot of GT2's with dealers not willing to discount MSRP, but not so many GT1's with AWD and DriveWise which is what I ordered. Either they have AWD, or DriveWise in RWD, not both. Color isn't as important to me as long as it's a color. I don't consider white, black and "gray" to be colors, but that's just me. No cars with my specs anywhere -- ANYWHERE in any color or non-color -- so I had to order and just ..... wait......
