Can anyone tell me about Kia customer service? I've done a little Googling but I'd like to get some first hand experiences if I can. I know dealers are hit and miss so I do take that into consideration. My local Kia dealership looks very nice but I've never gone in. I imagine service is nothing to brag about but I'd love to hear what other potential (and current) Kia owners think.

Hi Larry. I can only speak of my personal experiences. I have an Optima right now and I've only been to the dealer for routine maintenance. I've had oil changes, tire rotations, my battery died once (I think that's routine maintenance?), brakes, wipers. Stuff like that. Every time I've been there they always treated me well. My cousin has the same car but he goes to a different dealership. His experiences are hit and miss. Sometimes it's great. Others times not so much. I guess it depends on your service writer. I've always had the same woman but my cousin has had six different people. If you're concerned you should definitely Google your closest dealer and see what others have to say.

Sorry but I wouldnt expect good customer service from Kia. I like the car enough to buy it but Im not going to hold my breath or even cross my fingers for good service. They dont have a good track record. If the car is always at the dealership this will be a problem but Kias have been pretty reliable over the past few years, especially in initial quality. So you probably wont have to deal with the bad customer service very much.
