JB4 Map 1 Log Read (First Time)

So I just installed HKS spark plugs, and the JB4 with Fuel Wires today. First time logging, just want to make sure everything is as it should be for the engine.

Ran Map 0 for a bit, seemed fine. Now changed to Map 1, everything sounds fine, but want to make sure the logs are happy. Any help deciphering them would be appreciated.

I have an MBRP exhaust and AEM intakes. Running on 91 fuel.

Things look ok, but there's not a ton here...it looks like you had two short WOT pulls and a bunch of off-throttle cruising, so a couple dozen relevant rows among the 800+. If you use the JB4's default auto log, it'll kick in at 70-80% pedal (unless you change the threshold) and have a lot less filler.

With that said, during the two points where you went WOT, I see only mild timing corrections (0.8, 1.5, 2.3 in the ign2-6 columns), no values in the 3+ range that indicate you're octane limited.

I did another set of runs, in the morning and afternoon, and didn't bother forcing the logging, just let the JB4 app decide so there should be more usable data I hope.

I'm running 94 octane now as well so am on Map 2.

Are the timing corrections that main thing to be looking at in the logs as well?

If anyone can let me know how these looks I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

These both look good to me. Yes, timing corrections (ign_1 for absolute advance, ign2-6 for retarding relative to cyl1) are the biggest sign of reaching your octane limit.

Other relevant values to look at:
- Pedal, RPM, Gear and MPH to get your bearings (ie ign_1 will plummet during gear shifts, AFR will skyrocket off-throttle)
- ECU_psi, Target, Boost, and Map to see that the JB4 is doing what you expect
- Fp_h to make sure your HPFP isn't crashing (if you were on higher maps and ethanol mixes), and Trims to see that your fuel system is reacting appropriately
- AFR to see that you're not leaning out too much (although JB4 will taper in the upper revs)
