Hello all

Has this started happening to any of you? Because it's started happening to me and it's !@#$ing me off.

I don't know if this is because of the newer KIA Entertainment system update that was included with the last map updates I did, if this is because of something new in CarPlay in iOS 15, or some combination. However when I go to use my car and have my iPHone plugged in, to use Siri I have to long press the voice command button on the steering wheel.

The problem is when I do this and try something like "Hey Siri, send a text message" music from one of the iOS music players will start playing and my siri command will be ignored.

ALL I can figure out to do in order to do what I want is to long-press to trigger Siri (after the music starts playing), say "Hey Siri, stop playing music". And then I can use a command to send a text, call someone whatever and not be interrupted.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Have I misconfigured something on my phone?

Thanks.

I did read that there are carplay bugs in iOS 15 but it sounded like it was limited to the iPhone 13 do you have a 13?

Edit... I haven't updated yet based on the report of bugs

I just got the iPhone 13.. but I've had the same problems with an iPhone 11.
