Currently owner of a 2012 Optima SX, love the car, and a 2013 Ford F150 SB EcoBoost that I tow a 32ft. 5th wheel with. I love it too. Wanted to buy a 2018 Stinger GT special edition, yellow. I was about to sign papers when the closer said "I can't sell you the car". Why? He said Kia put a stop sale on Yellow. Then he said I can sell you the car but you could have paint problems. No way. So I joined the Forum for information about the problem. I have decided to wait for the 2019's and hopefully they solve the problem.
I want to add that in my area (Central California) there are dealers still selling the yellow Stingers. I think they just want to make a sale and are not making it known about the paint problem and let the buyer worry about it. I have mentioned the problem to a couple of sales people and they claim they don't know anything about it.
Great Forum, I appreciate the information.
