• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

A group of like-minded motorcycle owners have been getting together on an annual/bi-annual basis to enjoy some of the great roads we have in this part of the country, make new friends, enjoy good times around a fire pit at night, and some of the fantastic eating to be had here.

We have a strong community of motorcyclists from around the world, and it is not uncommon for people to fly in from other countries and rent (or borrow) a machine. One of my friends met this way from CA keeps a "spare" bike with another local friend just for these events!

I'm yet to purchase my Stinger, but wanted to start a discussion to see if there would be interest in a similar event for us. If so, I think I would plan for the early-fall - you can't plan on enjoying the true fall colors, as every stick-figure-family adorned minivan will be out in-force, but the roads are fabulous, the scenery breathtaking, and the food, well, there's a place attached to a gas station in a little town called Franklin, NC, where to use a bathroom, you walk into the convenience store. It might be THE best French Bistro outside of France. I'm not kidding. Cash only. Reservations recommended.

Home base would most likely be Fontana Village Resort, tucked into the Nantahala National Forest in the mountains of Western North Carolina - "the Great Smokies." The resort has a lodge, cabins, and campsites, as well as a pretty decent restaurant, a couple of convenience stores, one with gas. The famous "Tail of the Dragon" is 15 minutes away (legally) but there are MANY more fabulous roads in the area - one in particular taking your to aforementioned bistro.

So, I set the stage - discuss!

I'll take that as a "no" then, lol...

Sorry and it does sound like a great idea, but think we need to start small first.

A few of us in FL have been trying to get a small meet & greet together locally, but unfortunately its been tough trying to get anything organized yet. I'm away next week but hoping to get a few of us over to "weareblondi"s Carrabbas in Coral Springs sooner than later.

Sounds good but I’m bias being in NC. Thanks for trying to get something suggested / setup.
