I recently purchased an agency black intercooler. I am thinking of cutting the grill to expose intercooler but was thinking of painting a design on the front. Only thing I could think of was the GT emblem. Wanting to spray paint in RED over black intercooler. I did a vinyl sample in white with solid and outline versions. Which should I go with?

Side by side, I like the outline best. They both look good.

If you go with the outline stencil, I would make the line thicker. Having sprayed a few ICs, I can confirm the way it looks once the paint goes through the fins is different than the way the stencil makes it seem. Look up the STi logo on intercoolers for an idea.

Personally, I'd go with the solid stencil.

Exactly, found that out yesterday. It still looks ok, but not what I had expected. It does look better from the side angles since the fins are not straight on.
