Hi. Has anyone compared performance differences with different intakes (as in the title), especially with BMS BEF and JB4?

An actual cold air intake with a tune should yield some extra performance. I have not seen any stock vs stock tune with CAI (dyno) performance increases posted. A lot of anecdotal butt dynos say quicker, but no one's using their dyno time to validate it. Speaking strictly about the Stinger here. Bigger picture, whether a car with a factory tune actually utilizes increased air flow is up to the factory tune and whether (or not) it has mappings created for what to do with improved air flow.

I used a drop in K&N because I like the idea of not having to buy new (expensive for the V6 Stinger) filters every 20-30k miles. And being in a hot climate, I figure any extra airflow I can provide during the summer months, especially if idling in traffic, the better. But I honestly doubt the latter matters.

The CAI 'sounds better' if you drive with your windows down. Over the 15 or so years I've been on car internet forums the entire subject is exhausting. Everyone has thoughts and opinions, few have any facts to back up anything they say. Hopefully someone will read this post and with a bug firmly planted in their bum will post some links that show otherwise.
